This role is critical to ensuring quality, adherence to schedules, and compliance with industrial safety standards, contributing to the smooth execution of operations. Requirements Technical qualification in Product Manufacturing by Machining or Chip-Removal Machining. Minimum 1 year of experience operating lathes, machining, or mechanical maintenance. Valid certification for work at heights. Preferred Experience Shipyards and naval/riverine repair workshops. Companies in the metal-mechanical sector. Lathe, machining, and part fabrication workshops. Industrial maintenance and diesel engine companies. Vessel construction, repair, or repowering. Industrial plants with mechanical maintenance processes. Main Responsibilities Assist the Lathe Officer in part fabrication, fitting, and machining. Prepare materials, tools, and supplies. Organize and prepare the workstation before commencing tasks. Support assembly and disassembly of parts on equipment. Perform basic preventive cleaning and maintenance. Collaborate in naval, mechanical repairs, and vessel repowering. Comply with quality, safety, and HSE regulatory standards. Required Competencies Proactivity and continuous learning. Salary Conditions and Benefits Base salary: $1,929,000 + Transportation allowance + statutory benefits. Bonuses and additional benefits. Fixed-term contract for 6 months.
