Mission: Support the Head Chef and First Cook in their assigned area by executing assigned recipe and sub-recipe production stages according to the established schedule and standard recipes, reporting any issues that arise. · Main Responsibilities: Review and familiarize oneself with food production processes according to the schedule set by the Head Chef, following established procedures and recipes under the supervision of the First Cook. Report ingredient consumption to update daily general inventories and raw material orders to the First Cook or Head Chef. Receive and inspect ingredients and raw materials assigned for daily tasks. Prepare the mise en place for each dish and carry out preparations and plating according to standard recipes and instructions from the First Cook or Head Chef. Ensure every dish served at the table meets requirements regarding raw materials, presentation, portion size, and flavor. Place raw material orders for one’s area to the kitchen manager with appropriate advance notice and in accordance with the established work schedule. Guarantee proper storage, preservation, and rotation of assigned raw materials. Perform butchery analyses, report daily raw material losses, and submit these documents to the chef. Maintain absolute order and cleanliness in the work area, refrigerators, and freezers; store all raw materials in sealed, labeled containers indicating storage dates; and use kitchen utensils and equipment appropriately. Comply with food handler obligations. Participate in periodic and monthly inventory preparations. Ensure dishes served meet the organoleptic characteristics defined in standard recipe specifications. Verify temperatures and complete the daily log form. Wear the uniform according to company standards, without unauthorized accessories. Requirements: Reside in Barranquilla. Technical or technological degree in Gastronomy. 1 year of certified experience as a kitchen assistant.
