Position Summary:
Support standardization, audits, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement of operational and administrative processes.

**Purpose and Impact of the Role**

**Shift/Work Schedule:** Day shift
**Key Responsibilities**
* Implement standardization at the Processing Plant
* Support activities assigned by the Plant Manager and Superintendent
* Conduct 5S audits and training in areas
* Support root cause analysis development and action plan closure
* Promote tracking board culture and record results
* Support ideation workshops
* Support baseline development for ideas
* Support recognition management at the plant
* Record ideas appropriately on various platforms
* Support identification, analysis, and documentation of improvement opportunities in operational and administrative processes
* Participate in data collection and analysis for Lean/Six Sigma projects
* Support execution of continuous improvement projects under guidance of the area specialist or leader
**Qualifications**
**Minimum:**
* Currently enrolled student in Process Engineering, Agroindustrial Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Engineering, or related fields
* At least 18 years of age
* Ability to lift up to 25 kilograms with or without reasonable accommodations
* Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing or descending stairs, kneeling, squatting, and twisting safely, with or without reasonable accommodation
* Ability to work in various environments where noise, dust, chemicals, etc., may be present, using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
* Ability to work in diverse indoor and outdoor conditions, including heat up to 40 degrees Celsius and cold down to 6 degrees Celsius
* Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office software, such as Excel and Word
* Experience using a computer
* Availability to complete the internship for 1 year
