Job Summary: We are seeking a technical Data Lead / Data Leader with autonomy in architecture and leadership within a modern data team built on Azure and Databricks. Key Highlights: 1. Technical role with autonomy in architecture and team leadership 2. Definition and validation of data architecture in Azure using the Medallion pattern 3. Building and optimizing data pipelines in Bronze, Silver, and Gold We are looking for a **Data Lead / Data Leader** who wants to assume a technical role with autonomy in architectural decision-making and technical leadership within a modern data team based on **Azure and Databricks**. **Key Responsibilities:** * Define and validate **data project architecture in Azure** (ADLS + Databricks) following the **Medallion pattern (Bronze / Silver / Gold)**. * Provide technical leadership to the data team: review designs, approve **critical pipelines**, and make architectural decisions. * Build and optimize **data ingestion and transformation pipelines** across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers. * Design and implement the **data governance model**: roles, data quality policies, data dictionary, and catalog with lineage. * Manage access to **sensitive data (PII)** through masking, tokenization, and **RBAC policies in Azure**. * Translate business requirements into **data architecture decisions**. * Coordinate with **IT, security, and external vendors**. * Produce **high-quality technical documentation**: data flow diagrams, ADRs, and team standards. * Identify technical debt and propose **progressive improvement plans**. **Technical Knowledge: Required Technologies** * Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS) * Azure Databricks + Unity Catalog * Delta Lake / Delta Tables * Azure Data Factory (ADF) * Python / PySpark * Advanced SQL (window functions, dimensional modeling) * Experience implementing the **Medallion architecture** in production environments **Desirable Technologies** * Azure Key Vault + RBAC security policies * Azure Monitor / Log Analytics * Power BI (semantic models in the Gold layer) * dbt or other declarative transformation tools * Azure DevOps / CI-CD for data * Microsoft Purview / Azure Purview **Candidate Profile** * **Experience:** 2–3 years in data engineering or data architecture roles. * **Mid-level profile with technical leadership capability**. * Ability to make **architectural decisions autonomously** on a day-to-day basis. * Experience with the **Azure + Databricks + Delta Lake ecosystem**. ⭐ **Especially Valued:** * Experience with **Customer 360 or CDP platforms**. * Integrations with **CRMs or ERPs**. * Building **active data catalogs and data governance**. **Desirable Certifications** * DP-203 (Azure Data Engineer) * AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect) * Databricks Certified Professional **What We Offer in Exchange for Your Talent:** * **Salary:** between $5,500,000 and $7,500,000 per month (based on experience) * **Work-Life Balance:** Monday to Friday schedule * **Benefits Card** Employment Type: Full-time, Indefinite Application Question(s): * What is your salary expectation? * Do you have experience implementing the Medallion architecture with Azure and Databricks? * Do you have 2–3 years of experience in data engineering or data architecture roles?
