We invite you to become part of Genfar, a company certified as a Great Place To Work.** **Job Description** **Manufacturing Manager** * *Location: Cali, Colombia* * *Job Type: Permanent, full time* **Position Purpose** Meet production schedules in terms of quantities and timelines to maintain inventory levels according to budgetary plans and plant logistics information. Ensure appropriate utilization of plant capacity in line with production program requirements. Manage all direct and indirect labor personnel involved in Production processes. **Key Responsibilities** * Ensure staff comply with written procedures and report any suggested modifications to Industrial Management to standardize processes and prevent execution errors. * Advise the team under supervision—production supervisor, coordinators, and operators—on work methods, procedures, and operations to optimize available resources. * Lead the development of standard operating procedures for the area to comply with company quality standards and meet requirements from BPM, ISO 9001, 14001, HSE, BASC, and other auditing bodies. * Maintain Occupational Health and Safety indicators within corporate limits, ensuring continuous improvement in accident rates compared to the previous year. * Support the development of Manufacturing and Packaging models and analyze pilot batch development, new product launches, and internal/external customer complaints with the Quality Management team to collectively achieve company objectives. * Support the Quality Management team in equipment and process cleaning validation to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices. * Supervise the validation of the monthly production schedule provided by plant logistics and continuously monitor production processes; lead weekly joint follow-up meetings with Logistics, considering finished goods inventory levels versus each subsidiary's Logistics Letter, addressing all production-related topics. * Lead the production supervisor and manufacturing and packaging coordinators in executing activities that ensure production schedule fulfillment and timely delivery of finished products, considering the shelf life of each pharmaceutical form. * Monitor compliance with production standards regarding MOD, MAQ, and quality timing parameters to achieve standard production costs. * Ensure production records and all documents involved in manufacturing and packaging processes are properly completed and follow the Company-approved workflow. * Ensure verification of production records issued for the manufacturing schedule to align with the master formula, preventing potential errors and ensuring production plan compliance. * Guarantee, analyze, and control yields and efficiencies of manufacturing and packaging batches to reduce material waste and increase finished product output. * Audit data entry into the system by manufacturing and packaging operators to ensure reporting accuracy and operational cost integrity. * Analyze monthly manufacturing performance indicators to establish goals for continuous improvement. These include: * Monthly units produced, sales and logistics budget compliance, unit production cost, OEE, Yield, Productivity, PCT, HNA, expense control, overtime usage, absenteeism, financial indicators (substitution, 20% rule) * Attend national and international meetings, trainings, and workshops. * Lead the team under supervision—production supervisor, manufacturing and packaging coordinators—in performing their duties and responsibilities within the production process. * Participate in various company committees—HSE, Quality, Management—and contribute solutions to area-specific issues. * Be accountable for the proper functioning of equipment and the Company's fixed and current assets within the Manufacturing area to optimize machine hours. * Coordinate with the Industrial Director the hiring or termination of temporary staff, as well as shift scheduling and overtime planning for the department. * Prepare the annual department budget to control expenses and establish operating costs for the period. **Requirements** **Experience:** Experience as Manufacturing Manager or Production Manager in the pharmaceutical industry. **Education**: Pharmaceutical Chemist. **Specific Knowledge:** Proven experience and knowledge in Production Management.
