Verification, control, and record-keeping functions in the furnace We are currently hiring a FURNACE OPERATOR. A reputable environmental services and logistics company requires a Furnace Operator for its Incineration Plant team. We seek operational staff with high physical stamina, commitment, and the ability to work in production environments and handle materials. Requirements to Apply: Education Level: High School Diploma Experience: Minimum 6 months certified experience in this role Availability: Full availability to work rotating shifts (morning, afternoon, and night). Responsibilities: Receive the work station from the previous shift colleague, verifying that reported incidents logged in the office software are acknowledged. Verify the planned tasks for the shift against the waste scheduled for incineration and determine the priority order for furnace entry. Record all waste incinerated during the shift, specifying weight, sequence of incineration, and equipment operating parameters. Meet assigned kilogram-per-shift targets. Monitor and control equipment operating parameters such as pressure, temperature, and continuous emission monitoring. Ensure ash evacuation area remains accessible. Manually mix the waste load fed into the furnace during the shift using hand tools (where applicable). Participate in scheduled general and/or preventive maintenance activities and campaigns for furnaces. Use the furnace control and monitoring system correctly. Continuously monitor furnace and stack temperature and emission levels on the display screen. Working Conditions: Salary: COP $1,838,450 + Legal transportation allowance + Statutory overtime premiums + Statutory benefits. Schedule: Sunday to Sunday, rotating 8-hour shifts (6 a.m.–2 p.m. / 2 p.m.–10 p.m. / 10 p.m.–6 a.m.).
