**Job Description**
Perform required chemical, physical, and instrumental analyses across various laboratory areas or fields of operation, in accordance with company-established procedures.
* Timely request necessary work materials and/or consumables from the immediate supervisor to ensure normal laboratory operations.
* Validate test methods according to the laboratory’s quality assurance program guidelines.
* Validate and report laboratory analysis results, considering internal QA/QC controls.
* Ensure proper handling of all laboratory equipment under one’s responsibility and perform verification and/or execution of operational/efficiency control and calibration tasks, per laboratory-established procedures.
* Ensure correct use of personal protective equipment during work execution.
* Promptly inform the immediate supervisor of any non-conforming products in the process, customer complaints and/or claims, and actively participate in identifying and implementing corrective actions, improvement plans, and associated process risks.
* Ensure active participation in scheduled and unscheduled internal and external audits.
* Participate in identifying process-related risks.
* Participate in updating procedures, instructions, and other documents, as required by the department.
* Ensure compliance with organizational internal standards and procedures.
* Guarantee timely entry of information into the system and timely delivery of analytical results.
* Promptly inform the immediate supervisor of any damages or anomalies affecting the operation of assigned equipment or the facilities where work is performed.
* Implement, maintain, and improve the laboratory quality management system, identifying deviations from this system or from procedures governing laboratory activities.
* Other duties as assigned, inherent to the position.
**Requirements**
Academic Qualifications: Chemical Engineer, Chemical Technician and/or Technologist, Chemist, or related field.
Experience: Preferably six (6) months of laboratory analysis and/or quality control experience.
Technical Knowledge: Laboratory-specific knowledge; preferably laboratory quality control in accordance with NTC-ISO/IEC 17025 standard, and office software tools (Word, Excel, PPT).
