HDPE Mill Operator

Description

Job Summary: We are seeking mill operators with experience in classification, cleaning, conditioning, feeding, parameter control, equipment cleaning, use of PPE, and waste handling. Key Highlights: 1. Experience in classification and cleaning of plastic materials 2. Proficiency in controlling mill parameters 3. Waste handling and use of personal protective equipment We require personnel for the Mill Department with relevant experience to perform the following tasks: * **Classification:** Inspect and separate HDPE from other plastics (e.g., PET or PVC), as mixing materials can compromise final product quality. * **Pre-cleaning:** Remove large impurities, labels, caps, or metallic residues that could damage mill blades. * **Conditioning:** Reduce the size of oversized pieces to fit into the mill’s feed hopper. * **Continuous feeding:** Gradually and consistently feed HDPE into the machine to avoid overloading the motor. * **Parameter control:** Monitor rotational speed and machine amperage to ensure they remain within specified ranges, preventing overheating or vibration. * **Hopper and screen cleaning:** Purge and thoroughly clean the mill when changing colors or plastic types to prevent cross-contamination. * **Personal protective equipment (PPE):** Use mandatory safety items, including safety goggles, leather gloves, earplugs, and steel-toed boots. * **Personal protective equipment (PPE):** Use mandatory safety items, including safety goggles, leather gloves, earplugs, and steel-toed boots. * **Waste handling:** Package, weigh, and label the resulting HDPE flakes for subsequent storage or sale.
