In this key leadership role, you will guide administration tasks, optimize and secure SQL Server environments, and drive the migration from on\-prem SQL Server 2016 to SQL Server 2022 on Azure VM. Join us to take ownership of mission\-critical database operations and lead the team toward success. **Responsibilities** * Oversee SQL Server databases across production and test environments supporting Trading operations * Direct performance evaluation and tuning efforts to meet stringent trading application demands * Diagnose and resolve bottlenecks related to indexing, queries, or system resources * Preserve database integrity through proactive index management, statistics refresh, and validation routines * Administer database security policies, user roles, permissions, and audit compliance frameworks * Authorize and process access requests, ensuring enforcement of least\-privilege protocols * Lead incident, problem, and change management processes for database\-related services * Perform in\-depth root cause investigations and establish lasting fixes for recurring operational issues * Develop and deploy automation scripts to streamline workflows and boost operational consistency * Improve monitoring systems, alerts, and reporting tools for tracking database wellness and efficiency * Support business intelligence workloads such as Power BI by refining data models and queries * Partner with analytics teams to maintain stable and high\-performing SQL Server platforms **Requirements** * At least 5 years of advanced Microsoft SQL Server administration in fast\-paced, high\-availability settings * Proven expertise in performance optimization, indexes, and query efficiency * Comprehensive knowledge of SQL Server security setup, role assignment, permission control, and audit practices * Hands\-on ability to support BI environments including Microsoft SSRS, SQL SSIS, and Power BI * Proficiency in T\-SQL for diagnostics, optimization, and automated operations * Experience applying IT service management methodologies such as incident, problem, and change handling * History of managing SQL Server migrations, including lift\-and\-shift strategies and upgrade processes * Ability to operate within regulated sectors while meeting audit and compliance benchmarks * Exceptional documentation capabilities and clear communication skills for operational leadership **Nice to have** * Background in Trading, Financial Services, or Market Data database systems * Knowledge of Automic Automation SaaS orchestration by Broadcom * Experience programming in Python, PowerShell, or Windows batch for automation tasks * Work history with large\-scale or high\-stakes SQL Server environments * Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar version control and ticketing platforms
