We are seeking a remote **Solution Architect** with expertise in Sybase. This role involves a significant focus on improving our database architecture. If you're looking for a stimulating and fulfilling opportunity, we invite you to apply. **Responsibilities** * Analyze, document, and evaluate the current database architecture and infrastructure * Provide recommendations for best practices and technical approaches to modernize legacy database systems * Lead efforts on upgrades, re\-architecture, infrastructure updates, schema design, and data modeling * Manage processes related to data migration and real\-time replication * Collaborate with team members to drive database design projects * Perform performance testing and optimization to enhance database efficiency * Investigate and resolve performance bottlenecks through root cause analysis **Requirements** * A minimum of 6 years of experience in software design and development * At least 5 years of hands\-on experience as a Sybase production Database Administrator * 2 or more years of leadership experience in relevant roles * Expertise in database architecture and configuration * Understanding of common database design and development principles * Knowledge of very large databases and data warehousing concepts * Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) at a B2 level **Nice to have** * Familiarity with cloud platforms, including AWS, GCP, and Azure
