Strategic negotiation to maximize savings. **Key Responsibilities** * Plan, coordinate, control, and execute procurement of required goods and services within the assigned category, adhering to Company-approved policies and procedures, to obtain necessary and appropriate inputs while minimizing procurement risks. * Standardize technical specifications for products and services to facilitate and expedite responses to quotation requests and ensure GOOD procurement, avoiding obsolete items caused by inappropriate or unnecessary purchases. * Select, develop, and qualify suppliers, educating and evaluating them from both commercial and technical perspectives to transform them into long-term strategic partners, enhancing quality, service, speed, reliability, and cost-effectiveness in procurement—attributes that are transferred to the final product or service. * Request and analyze quotations from selected suppliers to support decision-making and generate required purchase orders. * Strategically negotiate with regular suppliers on quantity, quality, partial deliveries, pricing, service, timely support, and information. * Propose the development and implementation of procurement strategies to maximize savings within the category. * Manage internal processing and approval of contracts.
