Position Summary: The Shipping Assistant will handle general incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate receipt and dispatch of documentation and goods. Key Highlights: 1. Supports continuous improvement of operations and safety. **Purpose and Work Impact** ------------------------------------- The Shipping Assistant will handle general incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring proper handling in accordance with warehouse processes and procedures. In this role, the individual will complete activities related to the receipt and dispatch of documentation and goods, ensuring accuracy of documents and recordkeeping. Shift / Schedule: Rotating **Key Responsibilities** --------------------------- * Receive finished products, frozen, IQF, and refrigerated goods, ensuring correct weight, quantities, temperature, batches, traceability, and product presentation. * Prepare order picking tickets. * Load vehicles, considering total units, weight, human resources, timely vehicle departure, and settlement aligned with scheduling and established pre-routes. * Perform activities required to control inventory of finished and semi-finished products to ensure data accuracy in the JD Edwards platform. * Address and resolve delivery-related complaints (shortages, overages, misdeliveries, and losses) from distributors, agencies, retail outlets, and colleagues (driver assistants). * Generate invoices for all products dispatched to Agencies and Distributors (products, by-products, raw materials, commercialized food items, and industrial waste transferred to third parties, etc.), including transfers to Agencies, complying with customer requirements, procedures, instructions, and the Company’s administrative and financial policies, ensuring precise control of product outflows and satisfaction of internal and external customers. * Perform cleaning and sanitation duties at the workplace. * Assist in backing up the trailer for dock entry, as well as T3 vehicles. * Comply with BPM (Good Manufacturing Practices) and FSQR (Quality) policies. * Interact with colleagues and management to drive continuous improvement of facility operations, related responsibilities, and knowledge, with authority to implement minor changes as defined by management. * Understand and comply with all safety policies and procedures, including equipment lockout/tagout, and maintain a safe and clean work environment. * Organize and store materials in the warehouse. * Report road incidents occurring during work-related travel. * Participate in road safety training sessions. * Fulfill the organization’s commitment to comply with road safety legislation and organizational guidelines. * Ensure timely and truthful reporting of personal health conditions. **Qualifications** ------------------ **Minimum:** * At least 18 years of age. * Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing/descending stairs, kneeling, squatting, or twisting safely, with or without reasonable accommodation. * Ability to lift up to 25 kg or 12.5 kg, with or without reasonable accommodation. * Ability to work under various indoor and outdoor conditions, including temperatures as low as \-18°C. * Ability to work in environments where noise, dust, chemicals, etc., may be present, using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). * Completed primary education or higher. * Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, or alternate shifts, with prior notice. * Minimum six months of experience in similar roles (logistics, warehouse, production, construction). * Availability to work in Dosquebradas. * Night-shift availability. **Preferred:** * Prior experience with inventory systems. * Operation of machinery and/or industrial equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation. * Experience using computers. **Please attach the following documents to your application:** **Complete resume**: copy of identification document, academic certificates, employment certifications or personal recommendations.
