The Kitchen Assistant is responsible for supporting food organization, preparation, and production, ensuring compliance with recipes, portion sizes, and established standards. The role involves active participation in dish development, standardization of measurements, and implementation of production processes—particularly during the initial operational phase of the kitchen. Key responsibilities include collaborating in structuring and launching kitchen operations, supporting ingredient organization, pre-preparation of food (mise en place), measurement and portion control, and adherence to established recipes to ensure quality and consistency in every dish. Additionally, the role contributes to developing and testing new dishes, organizing daily production, proper handling of raw materials, and maintaining order, cleanliness, and hygiene in the work area, in compliance with food handling regulations. The Kitchen Assistant also supports production planning, basic inventory control, and process optimization to ensure efficient service and proper kitchen operations from the outset.
