We are looking for a drafter to work with our engineering team and convert designs into technical and workshop drawings. The drafter's responsibilities include collecting drawings and specifications, calculating material and equipment requirements, and establishing production methods. If you have hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software and are familiar with construction processes, we would like to meet you. Ultimately, you will help us build functional, safe, and well-designed products and structures that meet our needs. **Responsibilities** * Collaborate with designers and engineers to gather product and structural requirements and designs. * Calculate dimensions, weight limits, and material requirements. * Describe step-by-step production methods (including types of equipment and software to be used). * Create detailed designs using computer-aided design (CAD) software. * Design diagrams, maps, and drawings to illustrate workflow. * Prepare and review preliminary sketches with the engineering team. * Identify potential operational issues and redesign products to improve functionality. * Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards. * Create manuals describing operation, features, and maintenance of existing products. **Skills** * Proven work experience as a drafter or in a similar role. * Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software. * Familiarity with 3D modeling tools. * Strong mathematical skills. * Ability to meet deadlines. * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a technical institute diploma. * Additional certification from the American Design Drafting Association (ADDA) is a plus. **Remote work:** Yes Job type: Full-time, Part-time Education: * Bachelor's (Preferred) Experience: * AutoCAD: 4 years (Preferred) * Sketchup: 5 years (Required) Language: * English (Required)
