




Summary: The Simulator Technician I performs a variety of technical tasks, ranging from preventive maintenance to troubleshooting on simulators, and provides customer support. Highlights: 1. Provide fast and effective customer support. **About this position** **(English will follow)** In this role, the **Simulator Technician I** is expected to: * Perform routine technical tasks on site, in the field, or in the laboratory. * Receive training on the various phases of technical work to be performed in the laboratory, office, plant, or field. Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: * Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and associated simulation systems. * Assist in diagnosing and correcting issues on simulators and associated simulation systems. * Use the maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities. * Complete all specified training activities. * Perform pre-flight and post-flight simulations on designated simulators. * Perform basic visual alignments. * Run automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG) tests. * Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications. * Familiarize themselves with and comply with CAE’s quality management system requirements. * Provide customer service support and respond to customer needs promptly. * Perform maintenance tasks to keep simulators operational per requirements. * Perform logistics duties, including parts receipt, repair, and testing/validation. * Perform administrative tasks as required. * Perform tasks to support the technical services group as required. Qualifications * Two-year technical diploma or four-year degree in electronics, avionics, or a related technical field. * Minimum of 0 to 2 years of relevant experience. * Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules. * Ability to read system drawings and schematics. * Proficiency in operating test equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, signal generator, logic analyzer, etc.). * Knowledge of analog and digital theory. * Computer literacy (PC and/or mainframe/computer architecture). * Proficiency in soldering and printed circuit board repairs. * Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. * Fluency in English and French. **************************************************************************************************** In this role, the **Simulator Technician I** will be expected to: * Perform routine technical tasks on site, in field or laboratory. * Receive training in the various phases of laboratory, office, plant or field technical work.
