Job Summary: We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead the operation, optimization, and automation of biogas and electric power plants, ensuring equipment maintenance and process efficiency. Key Responsibilities: 1. Manage and optimize operations at biogas and electric power plants. 2. Supervise process automation across multiple plants. 3. Contribute to equipment maintenance and infrastructure works. Biogás Colombia SAS ESP is a company dedicated to landfill biogas treatment, electricity generation from biogas, and biomethane production. We require a Mechanical Engineer to perform the following duties: * Participate in—and subsequently lead—the operation, control, and optimization of the biogas plant and the electric power generation plant. * Contribute to the restructuring—and subsequently supervise—the automation of the biogas plant, the electric power generation plant, and the biomethane plant. * Maintain the gas collection network, all equipment in the biogas plant, and electromechanical equipment across both plants. * Coordinate construction works, managing personnel and contractors. * Calculate and monitor emission reductions achieved by the plant through preventing landfill biogas (from RSDJ) from being released into the atmosphere. * Be responsible for documenting technical processes and operational reports. * Respond to contingencies and propose improvements for process efficiency and continuity. **Experience**: Minimum 1–2 years related to the following sectors: *Oil and gas, power generation, process engineering, projects, piping, or gas.* Contract Type: Indefinite Term Work Mode: On-site Working Hours: Full-time Location: Doña Juana Sanitary Landfill, Bogotá, Colombia Schedule: Monday–Thursday 7:00 AM–5:00 PM; Friday 7:00 AM–4:00 PM.
