




Position Summary: This role involves conducting material testing and trials, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring quality and ethical standards in procedures. Key Highlights: 1. Recognized globally as the benchmark for quality and integrity, SGS employs over 94,000 people and operates a network of more than 2,600 offices and laboratories worldwide. **Job Description** * Perform all tasks related to preparing specimens, space, and environmental conditions required for material testing and trials. * Handle samples and execute authorized testing and trials under the supervision of the immediate superior, in compliance with testing standards, the international standard NTC-ISO/IEC 17025, and commitments made to clients, adhering to the assigned schedule and promptly reporting any deviations to the supervisor. * Conduct field tests upon prior authorization from the immediate superior and verify quantities and traceability of samples sent to the laboratory. * Maintain the laboratory and equipment in optimal operational condition—both technically and hygienically—to ensure safety in assigned work areas. * Complete all records related to conducted tests and submit them to the designated staff member or supervisor, following established procedures, and ensure client information confidentiality. * Carry out duties within a strict ethical framework, thereby fostering client trust and credibility in the competence of personnel performing procedures and delivering results; this includes the obligation to inform the designated supervisor of any undue internal or external pressures that could adversely affect work quality. * Ensure continuous improvement of the Quality Management System by complying with applicable procedures, process characterizations, and work instructions relevant to normal job performance. * Perform vehicle care duties and maintain the assigned vehicle in perfect working condition, reporting any operational issues. * Receive and verify daily sample collection routes for material samples, and efficiently complete these routes according to client requirements for projects or construction sites; confirm that clients receive their respective test result reports, delivered per established procedures. * Interact with the responsible engineer or warehouse staff at each project or construction site visited regarding sample delivery for collection, verifying that all required documentation is fully completed per procedure. * Operate the transport vehicle in an agile, timely, and efficient manner, observing designated routes, transfers, and schedules. * Operate and be accountable for the proper use of assigned vehicles and/or machinery, tools, and associated equipment. * Perform daily inspections of the assigned vehicle and/or machinery, in accordance with requirements and within quality and timeliness standards. * Verify that maintenance of the assigned vehicle and/or machinery is carried out for job execution and ensure its proper care and custody per existing procedures. * Observe traffic regulations, protocols, and required documentation for vehicle operation and/or service delivery. * Organize, clean, and maintain equipment, issued items, and facilities designated for maintenance, care, and preservation of work-related items in optimal hygienic and sanitary conditions. All other duties inherent to the position aimed at ensuring smooth company operations. **Requirements** **Education:** High School Diploma (see Experience 1) Technical degree in soil, concrete, materials, or related laboratory fields. (see Experience 2) **Experience:** * 3 years’ experience working as a laboratory technician in laboratories and/or projects in roles related to quality control of construction materials. * 1 year’s experience working as a laboratory technician in laboratories and/or projects in roles related to quality control of construction materials. **Training:** * Testing methods for construction materials **Technical Knowledge:** * Basic numerical analysis * Knowledge of basic measurement units * Basic metrology **Note 1:** Regarding training and technical knowledge, if not fully met, the company will ensure compliance and follow-up through inclusion in the training/capacitation program. **Additional Information** Salary: $ 1.750.000 Contract Type: Project-based Rotating Shift: 8 Hours, Day Shift Monday to Friday and Saturday half-day
