Precision and attention to detail for clean and strong welds **Job Description** ---------------------- A prominent company located in Itagüí seeks an Entry-Level Welding Operator for its team, requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience in welding processes and industrial environments. Academic Qualification: High school diploma, Technical or Technologist degree. Job Objective: Execute welding processes in compliance with qualified welding procedure specifications (WPS) and technical specifications, ensuring the quality, strength, and integrity of metal joints, as well as adherence to the company’s established safety, productivity, and traceability standards. Specific Responsibilities * Verify that metallic materials are in suitable condition for the welding process. * Set up and calibrate welding equipment according to WPS. * Perform MIG welding or other processes as specified in technical specifications. * Ensure proper penetration, alignment, and finish of welds. Knowledge and Skills * Proficiency in MIG welding processes applied to various materials (carbon steel). * Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and welding symbols. * Proficiency in using tools such as grinders, files, wire brushes, and cleaning equipment. * Identification of welding defects and application of basic quality tests. * Precision and attention to detail to ensure clean, strong, and drawing-compliant welds. Additional Knowledge * Proficiency in MIG welding. * Interpretation of mechanical drawings. * Use of welding finishing tools. Contract Type: Project-based or task-based contract.
