Job Summary: We are seeking a high school graduate or experienced operator from manufacturing plants to operate hydraulic or mechanical shear machines, performing precise and high-quality cuts on metal sheets. Key Responsibilities: 1. Operate shear machine for precise cutting of metal sheets. 2. Perform machine setup and basic maintenance. 3. Ensure quality and compliance with production programs. A metalworking company located in Itagüí is looking for a high school graduate to join its team. If you do not hold a high school diploma, two (2) years of specific experience in production plants may be accepted as equivalent. Minimum 1–2 years of experience operating hydraulic or mechanical shear machines (Durmazlar preferred). Experience in sheet metal cutting (carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum). · Job Mission: Operate the Durmazlar-brand shear machine for cutting metal sheets, ensuring dimensional accuracy, cut quality, and adherence to production schedules, under industrial safety standards and operational efficiency requirements. · Specific Duties: Operate the Durmazlar shear machine according to production orders and established technical specifications. Prepare the machine by adjusting blades, stops, and parameters based on the material to be processed. Perform cuts ensuring dimensional accuracy, squareness, and edge quality of fabricated parts. Verify measurements and quality of finished products, promptly reporting any detected deviations. Conduct autonomous basic maintenance including cleaning, inspection, and lubrication of the machine. · Knowledge Requirements: Operation of shear-type cutting machinery. Precision in measurement and cutting. Interpretation of engineering drawings. Quality control in cutting processes. Use of measuring instruments. · Competencies: Attention to detail.
