This position is for Colombian attorneys living in Medellín or Bogotá who are interested in a long\-term career with a U.S.\-based law firm handling California law cases in personal injury, family law, and civil rights. The role involves both remote work and in\-person duties, with meetings and some job functions requiring the candidate to be based locally in Medellín and Bogotá. The candidate will be responsible for managing cases across California from start to finish. Key duties include drafting and reviewing legal documents such as complaints, discovery materials, trial briefs, declarations, and standard California and federal forms. The role also involves organizing and maintaining case files, identifying next steps in each case independently, ensuring adherence to deadlines, and conducting extensive legal research. Qualifications include native\-level English proficiency at a minimum of C1 level. Experience as a lawyer or paralegal is preferred but not required. Essential skills include autonomy and independence, as the candidate will need to manage cases proactively without requiring constant direction. Resourcefulness is crucial, with the firm seeking problem\-solvers who can overcome challenges effectively. Strong legal writing skills, especially with experience in IRAC and CRAC formats, are required for drafting complex legal documents. The compensation includes a starting salary of COP 5,000,000, which will increase based on job performance, with growth opportunities for driven individuals.
