This position reports to the Head Nurse and is responsible for delivering clinical, operational, and human support within the surgery department—ensuring preparation of operating rooms, safe patient care before, during, and after procedures, and strict compliance with biosafety protocols. **Profile Requirements** * **Education:** Technical Nursing Assistant qualification. * **Experience:** Minimum **2 years** of experience working in surgery / operating room settings. * **Certifications and Required Courses:** * Basic Life Support / CPR. * Certification in Operating Room Circulator and Central Sterilization. * Courses in Organ Donation and Care for Victims of Sexual Violence. * **Technical Knowledge:** * Biosafety, asepsis, antisepsis, and sterile field management standards. * Identification, receipt, and counting of surgical instruments, gauzes, and sponges. * Skin preparation, vital signs monitoring, delegated medication administration, and clinical documentation. **Main Functions and Responsibilities** * **Operating Room Preparation and Management:** * Prepare the operating room (equipment, supplies, medical devices) prior to each procedure according to specialty and surgeon requirements. * Ensure consistent cleaning, disinfection, and orderliness of the operating room to prevent risks and falls. * **Surgical Assistance and Patient Care:** * Verify patient identification, informed consents, and required documents prior to admission. * Assist the medical team (surgeons, anesthesiologists) during surgery and support surgical material and supply counts. * Perform patient skin preparation, monitor vital signs, maintain fluid balance, and record procedures in the clinical history. * **Postoperative Care and Transfer:** * Accompany the patient during immediate postoperative recovery, assisting with basic care, recovery, positioning, and safe transfer to the recovery room or discharge. * Properly manage hospital waste and report any issues related to supplies, equipment, or patient alarm signs. **Competencies and Soft Skills** * Strong orientation toward patient safety and humanization of care. * Teamwork, excellent communication, and ability to follow instructions under pressure. * Attention to detail, organization, agility, and adaptability to changes in surgical scheduling. **Contract Type:** Indefinite-term contract **Salary:** $2\.400\.000 Workplace: On-site employment
