Expertise in SQL Server performance tuning and security management We are seeking a **Senior SQL Server DBA** to ensure the reliability, performance and security of mission\-critical Trading databases. This role focuses on SQL Server administration, performance tuning, security management and operational support, while also supporting reporting and analytics workloads and leading a migration from on\-prem SQL Server 2016 to SQL Server 2022 on Azure VM. **Responsibilities** * Support SQL Server databases in production and non\-production environments for Trading systems * Monitor and tune database performance to meet trading business requirements * Identify and remediate performance bottlenecks related to queries, indexing and resource utilization * Maintain database health through index management, statistics updates and data integrity checks * Manage SQL Server security, access control and compliance with audit requirements * Process access requests and enforce least\-privilege principles * Provide incident, problem and change management support for database operations * Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions for recurring issues * Implement automation and scripting to improve operational efficiency and consistency * Enhance monitoring, alerting and reporting for database health and performance * Support Power BI and analytics workloads by optimizing data models and queries * Collaborate with reporting and analytics teams to ensure reliable SQL Server environments **Requirements** * Minimum 3 years of hands\-on experience administering Microsoft SQL Server in high\-availability, performance\-sensitive environments * Expertise in SQL Server performance tuning, indexing strategies and query optimization * Deep understanding of SQL Server security, roles, permissions and auditing * Skills in supporting reporting workloads including Power BI * Proficiency in T\-SQL for troubleshooting, optimization and automation * Experience with IT service management practices such as incident, problem and change management * Background in SQL Server migrations including lift\-and\-shift and upgrades * Capability to work in regulated environments with audit and compliance requirements * Strong documentation and communication skills for operational support **Nice to have** * Experience supporting Trading, Financial Services or Market Data systems * Familiarity with the Automic Automation SaaS orchestration system by Broadcom * Skills in Python, PowerShell or Windows batch files for orchestration software * Experience working with large\-scale or mission\-critical SQL Server environments * Familiarity with version control and ticketing systems such as ADO
