We are currently seeking an **Electrical Quality Technician HV (High Voltage)** to strengthen our team in Girardot. **Primary Job Objective** Ensure all electrical activities are executed in compliance with project technical specifications, applicable international and local standards, and approved quality procedures; ensure effective implementation of Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), manage non-conformances, and ensure timely closure of punch lists. **Key Responsibilities** * Verify that all electrical activities are performed in accordance with: Project technical specifications. Applicable regulations (IEC, IEEE, ANSI, local standards). Quality Plan and approved procedures. * Implement and monitor Inspection & Test Plans (ITP). * Ensure correct implementation of electrical installation, testing, and commissioning procedures. * Identify deviations and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) where applicable. * Monitor effective closure of non-conformances and punch lists. **Qualifications and Competencies** * Technical or Technologist degree in Electricity, Electrical Engineer, or related field, with 2–5 years of experience. * Additional training in Power Systems, Power Quality, or Electrical Substations is desirable. * Experience with high-voltage transmission lines. * Familiarity with RETIE regulation. * Certifications or courses in electrical standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI). * Basic technical English proficiency (reading manuals and standards). * Proficiency in office tools (Excel, Word, reporting software). * Medium-, high-, and extra-high-voltage substations. * Electrical quality control, testing, or commissioning. * Interpretation of: + Electrical drawings (single-line, three-line, control and protection). + Control, protection, and wiring diagrams. + Regulations and standards: IEC (IEC 61850, IEC 60076, IEC 62271), IEEE, ANSI, NFPA 70 (as per project scope). * Concepts of: Electrical power quality (harmonics, flicker, power factor). + Electrical insulation and dielectric strength testing. + Grounding systems. * Electrical QA/QC procedures: + ITP (Inspection & Test Plan). + NCR, punch list, FAT and SAT. + Testing and measurement equipment. * Experience performing and/or supervising: + Insulation resistance measurement (Megger). + Transformer turns ratio (TTR) testing. + Contact resistance testing. + Secondary and primary injection testing. + Wiring verification and continuity checks. + Operation of specialized electrical instruments. **Personal Attributes** All employees must contribute to Scatec’s vision: “Improving Our Future”, and adhere to the company’s values: * Predictable: demonstrates clear communication and listening skills, shares information openly and honestly. * Results-oriented: demonstrates determination, proactivity, ability to prioritize, and works independently. * Change agent: demonstrates entrepreneurial spirit, challenges the status quo, learns quickly, takes initiative, and adapts. * Team player: demonstrates collaboration, shares responsibilities, commits readily, and maintains a positive attitude.
