Job Summary: A dietary assistant is required for the food service at a correctional facility, responsible for preparing, distributing, and monitoring diets, as well as complying with sanitary regulations. Key Responsibilities: 1. Preparation and portioning of food according to prescribed diets. 2. Distribution of food while complying with hygiene conditions. 3. Application of hygienic food handling standards. The food service of the correctional facility requires a dietary assistant with experience in: Main Responsibilities * **Preparation and setup of diets** * Assemble and portion food according to prescribed diets. * Verify that food preparations match the diet prescribed for each user or patient. * Organize trays, utensils, and dietary supplements. * **Food distribution** * Deliver meals at scheduled times. * Transport food while maintaining hygiene and temperature requirements. * Verify correct identification of patients and diets prior to delivery. * **Compliance with sanitary regulations** * Apply hygienic food handling standards. * Properly use personal protective equipment. * Ensure cleaning and disinfection of utensils, thermal carts, and work areas. * Comply with food safety protocols and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices). * **Monitoring and recordkeeping** * Maintain records of delivered diets and any incidents. * Report inconsistencies, surpluses, or shortages in food supply. * Timely report any changes or incidents related to patient nutrition. * **Operational support** * Support the nutrition and kitchen departments in food service-related activities. * Assist with basic inventory management and storage of food supplies. * Participate in area cleaning and organization activities. * **User service** * Provide respectful and courteous service to patients and healthcare staff. * Address basic inquiries regarding meal delivery. * Promptly inform the nutritionist or immediate supervisor of any relevant incidents.
