




**Job Offer: Kitchen and General Services Assistant** **Position:** Kitchen and General Services Assistant **Location:** Centro Gerontológico MaFe – Bogotá, D.C. **Contract Type:** Fixed-term – 6 months (2-month probation), with renewal option **Main Purpose** Assist in the preparation and presentation of balanced menus adapted to the medical needs of our residents, following the nutritionist's instructions and ensuring the highest standards of food hygiene and safety. Additionally, contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment through cleaning, disinfection of common areas, and laundry service duties. **Work Environment** The Kitchen and General Services Assistant works directly with the kitchen team, nursing staff, therapists, and external nutritionist. Operates in a gerontological setting where empathy and service vocation are as important as technical skill. **Main Functions** * Prepare ingredients and assist in dish preparation according to the Nutritionist’s instructions. * Follow established recipes and menus, complying with dietary restrictions and resident preferences. * Clean and disinfect utensils, equipment, and work surfaces in the kitchen. * Store food, monitor expiration dates, and rotate inventory. * Assist in receiving and storing kitchen supplies. * Report any irregularities in food preparation or storage. * Sweep, mop, and dust common areas, hallways, and dining rooms. * Clean common areas such as restrooms and attend to laundry services according to schedule. * Empty and sanitize waste containers, managing waste separation. * Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in good condition; report replacement or maintenance needs. **Responsibilities** * Ensure the quality, presentation, and safety of served meals. * Maintain high hygiene standards in all assigned areas. * Work as part of a team to provide efficient and respectful service to the elderly.
