* **Operate conventional or automatic lathes** to machine metal parts according to drawings, technical specifications, or required measurements. * **Prepare, mount, and center materials (bars, shafts, tubes, etc.)** on the lathe to perform peeling, turning, facing, threading, or grooving operations. * **Adjust cutting tools, speeds, and feeds**, ensuring precision and surface finish of parts. * **Verify dimensions and tolerances** using measuring instruments (caliper, micrometer, dial gauge, among others). * **Perform basic preventive maintenance** on the machine and keep the work area clean and organized. * **Identify and report failures or deviations** in parts or equipment. * **Comply with industrial safety and quality standards** established by the company. * **Interpret mechanical drawings and production orders** to ensure compliance with specifications. * **Collaborate with the production team** to optimize time and materials.
