For more information, please visit: www.convatecgroup.com **About the Role** The primary purpose of this role is to act as an independent accounting expert, ensuring the execution of all accounting and reporting processes within the assigned scope. The individual will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the accounting books, as well as the timely and accurate delivery of accounting figures for the assigned entity. **Key Responsibilities** * Execute accounting and reporting activities in accordance with defined processes, standard operating procedures, and work instructions, updating process documentation when necessary. * Perform period-end closing activities for assigned entities, including account reconciliations and clean-up, as well as timely reporting of actual figures in the relevant system, meeting established quality objectives. * Ensure compliance with internal procedures and applicable legislation. * Support migration projects, including mentoring activities, knowledge transfer, and creation of work instructions. * Lead the resolution of complex queries raised by employees, managers, finance partners, and other internal and external stakeholders, building strong relationships with stakeholders. * Respond to requests from Colombian regulatory authorities and support tax-related processes associated with Convatec’s operations in the country. * Participate in the preparation, review, and/or submission of Colombian tax obligations, including tax returns, exogenous information, reports to Supersociedades, municipal ICA, income tax returns, magnetic media filings, VAT, and withholding tax. **Key Requirements** * More than 5 years of combined experience in accounting and finance. * Solid experience in Colombian taxation, including accounting and tax compliance for direct and indirect taxes. * Experience in filing tax returns, exogenous information, reports to Supersociedades, municipal ICA, income tax returns, magnetic media filings, VAT, and withholding tax. * Knowledge of technological tools: MS Office. SAP experience will be considered an advantage. * Strong communication skills. * Mature attitude toward challenges and problem-solving, with the ability to work with limited guidance, identify necessary information to resolve complex situations, manage pressure effectively, and adapt to change or difficulties. * Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks, including self-study and research when required to execute them correctly. * Ability to work under tight deadlines and shifting priorities. * Proactive and creative approach to improving ways of working. * Ability to work collaboratively in a team. **About You** * Professional degree in Public Accounting. * Valid professional license as a Certified Public Accountant. * Certifications, diplomas, continuing education, or specializations in taxation will be considered an advantage. * Additional accounting certifications will be considered a plus. * **Conversational English required.
