**In this role, you will be responsible for:**
* Leading pioneering innovations for tissue products across our consumer and business-to-business categories globally.
* Owning end-to-end product development—from prototyping and process development to certifications, claims, and demonstrations.
* Bringing deep consumer understanding and product/process expertise to lead the development of winning product propositions.
* Developing and substantiating claims, visualizing benefits, and creating demonstrations to drive innovation/renovation programs and commercial renovations.
* Ensuring compliance with Quality, Product Safety, and Regulatory requirements.
* Leading new product qualification and commercialization in collaboration with Product Supply teams.
* Being a key player in advancing our ambitious Sustainability agenda.
* Protecting technologies, processes, materials, and products through appropriate use of patents and trade secrets.
* Influencing and collaborating with IFP cross-functional teams to develop and execute programs/projects aligned with our product strategies—leveraging our competitive and consumer insights to address ABU needs.
* R&D leadership on assigned innovation/renovation projects: leading design and development phases to ensure technical and consumer validation, and guaranteeing delivery and commercialization of product propositions meeting key success criteria (performance, compliance, cost, and timing).
* Planning and executing project responsibilities with limited support and supervision, applying research principles, scientific analysis, and project management tools.
* Collaborating effectively with IFP cross-functional teams such as Quality, Product Safety, Regulatory, and Product Supply.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need the following qualifications:
* The ideal candidate is a natural innovator with a strong track record in developing and commercializing successful innovations, an entrepreneurial mindset, excellent technical problem-solving skills, and the ability to build strong, effective partnerships within the R&D organization and broader cross-functional team.
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific field or related engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
* 8+ years of experience in diverse technical assignments within a professional R&D or engineering environment.
* Experience providing R&D support for new product launch qualification and facilitating transition to Product Supply and/or external manufacturers.
* Strong experience in product design and development, with proven ability to translate consumer needs and expectations into product propositions and ideas, and to develop and qualify products from both technical and consumer perspectives.
* **High technical curiosity**: idea generator, strongly consumer- and brand-oriented, with solid technical mastery.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, plus influencing capability.
* Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
* ### **Prior experience working with external manufacturers (contract manufacturing).**
* Fluent English proficiency.
* Position based in Cali or Medellín.
