




Position Summary: This role manages and supports the strategy for migrating workloads from VMware to OpenShift Virtualization, ensuring service availability. Key Highlights: 1. Ensures service capacity and availability **Purpose of the Position** This role must manage and support the strategy for migrating workloads from VMware to OpenShift Virtualization, execute operational activities, monitoring, preventive and corrective tasks, and administration of the OpenShift Virtualization platform, as well as incident and problem resolution related to worker nodes, virtual servers of the platform, and control plane, in order to ensure service capacity and availability. **Key Responsibilities** The following duties and responsibilities are intended to be representative of the work performed by the incumbent(s) in this position and are not exhaustive. The omission of a specific duty or responsibility does not exclude it from the position. * Manage, administer, and support the strategy for migrating workloads from VMware to OpenShift Virtualization * Address project and/or customer requirements and requests within stipulated timeframes. * Administer the virtualization platform using OpenShift Virtualization (virtual machine management, cluster management, infrastructure optimization, container management, etc.) * Document and close assigned incidents and work orders in the internal request and incident management tool. * Manage platform incidents and problems. * Manage infrastructure changes. * Execute preventive and evolutionary tasks for the managed systems. * Update various components of OpenShift Virtualization, patches, and operating system security updates per manufacturer recommendations, with customer authorization, at least semiannually and/or on-demand. * Apply and comply with customer security policies and standards. * Monitor and optimize resource utilization of servers (workers). * Manage capacity of the administered platform. * Track and resolve cases escalated by the customer. * Define and maintain technical documentation. * During on-call availability, is responsible for executing scheduled maintenance windows and changes on a 7x24 basis. **Mandatory Requirements:** * Academic Qualification: University degree in Systems Engineering or related field * English Proficiency: B2 level or higher * 3+ years of experience in this role or similar positions * Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Virtualization EX316 certification * Solid knowledge of installation, management, and assurance of OpenShift Virtualization infrastructure components * Knowledge of hardware capacity, storage, and virtualization monitoring tools * General understanding of infrastructure and integration of systems and their complexity **Optional / Desirable Requirements:** * Courses and/or certifications in operating system administration and/or Windows or Linux solutions * Knowledge of programming tools for automation of administrative tasks (PowerCLI, Python, Ansible, Automation Platform) * Knowledge of public cloud platforms * Knowledge of networking * Knowledge of digital certificates
