The ideal candidate will be a civil engineer or transportation and roadways engineer with at least 10 years of specific experience in engineering, design, and project management roles. **Responsibilities** --------------------- The **Technical Office Manager** will be responsible for the following duties: * **Design Coordination and Management:** * Lead and manage the development of designs for linear construction projects, ensuring compliance with established quality standards. * Implement design optimization procedures that enhance the technical and economic efficiency of projects. * **Needs Identification:** * Assess and determine the engineering and design requirements associated with projects in the delegation's portfolio. * Collaborate with various disciplines to ensure effective alignment with project objectives. * **Hiring and Control:** * Carry out the hiring of external engineers and consultants required for project development, ensuring compliance with current regulations and standards. * Conduct engineering control and monitoring, supervising the different stages of design development. * **Project Management:** * Work closely with consulting contractors and project-specific technical office managers, facilitating communication and coordination among all parties. * Review and approve technical deliverables, ensuring they meet project expectations and requirements. * **Document Control:** * Perform control and tracking of the project documentation plan, ensuring all technical documentation is up to date and accessible to the work team. * Implement document management tools that optimize information flow within the technical office. * **Technical and Economic Optimization:** * Ensure the technical and economic optimization of projects by proposing improvements and innovative solutions that add value to ongoing works. * Analyze and propose technical alternatives that allow meeting project goals within established timelines. **Requirements** -------------- To be considered for this position, the candidate must meet the following requirements: * University degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation and Roadways Engineering. * A minimum of 10 years of specific experience in coordinating and managing designs for linear projects. * Experience in implementing and monitoring technical offices on site. * In-depth knowledge of design optimization procedures in engineering projects. * Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative environment. * Excellent verbal and written communication and coordination skills. * Proficiency in computer tools related to project management and technical design. **We Offer** ------------- At Grupo Ortiz, we offer a dynamic and professional work environment that fosters personal and professional development for our employees.
