DESCRIPTION
Grupo Ortiz is seeking an Industrial Unit Resident with at least five (5) years of proven experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising and leading material transformation processes, ensuring efficiency and quality in asphalt and concrete production as well as crushing operations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Manage and supervise all daily industrial unit operations, with a focus on asphalt, concrete, and crushing production.
* Lead material transformation processes, implementing industry best practices and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
* Supervise proper material handling—from receipt through processing and dispatch—ensuring safety and resource optimization.
* Plan, coordinate, and execute production programs to meet company objectives and market demands.
* Implement and maintain rigorous quality controls across all production stages.
* Ensure compliance with applicable environmental, occupational health, and safety regulations.
* Manage assigned personnel, promoting a safe, productive, and collaborative work environment.
* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and propose continuous improvements.
* Efficiently manage resources (materials, equipment, personnel) to maximize unit profitability.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure project integration and success.
**Position Requirements:**
* University degree in Civil, Industrial, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
* Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in supervisory or managerial roles within industrial units, preferably in asphalt, concrete, and/or crushing production.
* Demonstrated experience leading material transformation processes.
* Solid knowledge of material handling and associated logistics.
* Proven ability to manage asphalt, concrete, and crushing production operations.
* Knowledge of industrial safety, occupational health, and environmental regulations.
* Leadership, team management, and decision-making skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Analytical mindset and problem-solving orientation.
* Proficiency in office software (Microsoft Office) and production management systems.
