Position Summary: We are seeking a professional in mechanical engineering or a related field, with experience in supervising and performing operational maintenance on heavy-duty cargo vehicles, focused on ensuring the execution of repair work. MAINTENANCE PROFESSIONAL – MECHANICAL A prominent company in the **cargo transportation** sector, located in Mosquera, Cundinamarca, requires a **Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related-field professional** for its team, with a minimum of **2 years of experience in roles related to heavy-duty cargo vehicle maintenance**. We seek an individual with a **strong operational focus and experience supervising technical staff**, responsible for ensuring proper execution of vehicle fleet maintenance and repair work. Main Responsibilities: * **Directly supervise and control mechanics' work**, verifying correct execution of tasks, repair timelines, and work quality. * Coordinate and monitor **preventive and corrective maintenance** activities for company vehicles. * Diagnose and supervise work related to **engines, steering gearboxes, transmissions, differentials, power dividers, and other mechanical systems** of heavy-duty cargo vehicles. * **Review, request, and control required spare parts** for maintenance work, ensuring their availability and proper usage. * **Technically validate and manage authorization for spare part replacements**, verifying replacement necessity, diagnosis, component condition, and technical justification. * Continuously monitor work orders, ensuring compliance with established procedures and standards. * **Control and manage roadside breakdowns**, coordinating responses to mechanical incidents and tracking them until definitive resolution. * Verify that performed work ensures **vehicle safety, reliability, and availability**. * Supervise technical staff’s compliance with safety regulations during task execution. * Conduct inspections and monitor the mechanical condition of vehicles, promptly identifying repair or maintenance needs. * Provide technical support for decision-making regarding repairs, component replacements, and fleet availability. * Maintain a **100% operational focus**, with constant presence in the yard and direct accompaniment of maintenance activities. Required Profile * Professional in **Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related fields**. * Minimum **2 years of experience** in heavy-duty cargo vehicle maintenance. * Demonstrable experience in **supervising mechanics and technical teams**. * Knowledge of diagnosis and repair of engines, transmissions, differentials, and mechanical systems of heavy vehicles. * Ability to track **spare parts, work orders, repairs, and roadside breakdowns**. * Results-oriented, leadership capability, decision-making ability, and problem-solving skills. * Availability to perform a role that is **primarily operational and field-based**. **Work Location:** Mosquera, Cundinamarca. **Contract Type:** Fixed-term contract for 6 months, renewable. **Working Hours:** Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Job Type: Full-time Work Location: On-site employment
