We drive the adoption of modern technologies to build more efficient, scalable, and disruptive solutions. We are currently seeking a **Data Engineer / DBA – Colombia**. The selected candidate will participate in the administration, optimization, and migration of databases in cloud environments, ensuring standards for availability, security, performance, and operational best practices on AWS. **Role Responsibilities** * Administer database engines on AWS RDS (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL). * Configure environments with Multi\-AZ, read replicas, parameter groups, and option groups. * Manage environments with RDS Custom for Oracle, including OS access, patch application, and software installation. * Implement solutions using AWS Aurora (PostgreSQL/MySQL) based on project requirements. * Execute database migration processes using AWS DMS and Schema Conversion Tool (SCT). * Implement and manage backup policies using AWS Backup, vaults, and cross\-region replication. * Administer storage associated with EBS, EFS, and S3\. * Apply security controls using KMS, Secrets Manager, and IAM Database Authentication. * Monitor and optimize database performance using CloudWatch, RDS Performance Insights, Enhanced Monitoring, and Logs Insights. ✅ **Job Requirements** **Professional Experience** Experience in database administration and operations in cloud environments (AWS). **Databases \& AWS** * Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL engines. * Knowledge of RDS, Aurora, and related services. * Experience configuring high availability and replication. **Migration \& Optimization** * Experience migrating databases to AWS. * Use of tools such as AWS DMS and SCT. * Performance monitoring and optimization. **Security \& Operations** * Implementation of security mechanisms using KMS, Secrets Manager, and IAM. * Management of backups, recovery, and business continuity. * Knowledge of monitoring, alarms, and troubleshooting in production environments. ✅ **Desirable** * AWS Certified Database – Specialty. * Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) – DBA. * Experience in modernizing data platforms on AWS.
