We are looking for a semi-senior PostgreSQL and MySQL database administrator to support relational database operations managed in the public cloud for this project. The professional will serve as the technical reference for open-source database engines within the Colombia team, responsible for active production RDS (AWS), Azure Database, and Cloud SQL (GCP) instances deployed since the service launch. **Key Responsibilities** * Administer managed PostgreSQL and MySQL instances on AWS RDS, Azure Database for PostgreSQL/MySQL, OCI MySQL HeatWave, and Cloud SQL (GCP). * Proactively monitor performance, storage space, data growth, and instance parameters. * Resolve database incidents per service-level agreements: 24×7 for P1/P2 and 12×5 for P3/P4\. * Execute configuration changes, parameter updates, and maintenance windows. * Manage backup and restore operations on managed cloud platforms. * Apply database engine patches and updates per client guidelines. * Manage users, roles, and technical permissions. * Analyze performance: basic query tuning, review of slow query logs, and index management. * Document operational procedures and tower runbooks. * Coordinate with CloudOps and cybersecurity teams for security vulnerabilities or incidents. **Technical Requirements:** * 3+ years of experience as a PostgreSQL and/or MySQL administrator in production environments. * Experience with managed cloud services: AWS RDS, Azure Database, Cloud SQL (GCP), or equivalent. * Proficiency with native backup tools: pg\_dump, pg\_basebackup, mysqldump, and RDS snapshots. * Knowledge of replication in PostgreSQL (streaming replication) and MySQL (binlog-based replication). * Experience in performance tuning: EXPLAIN / EXPLAIN ANALYZE, index management, and vacuuming in PostgreSQL. * Familiarity with native cloud monitoring tools: CloudWatch (AWS), Azure Monitor, and GCP Cloud Monitoring. * Knowledge of connection management: pgBouncer and MySQL connection pooling. * Experience with ITSM platforms, preferably ServiceNow. **Competencies and Profile:** * Ability to collaborate effectively with senior profiles in Argentina and junior profiles in Colombia. * Proactivity in identifying and resolving issues before they impact business operations. * Orientation toward documentation and knowledge transfer. * Availability for rotating on-call duty to respond to critical incidents. \#LI\-LATAM
