Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an Agile Scrum Project Manager to lead the delivery of a mobile application featuring Augmented Reality, 3D modeling, and Artificial Intelligence for interior design.
Key Highlights:
1. Lead multidisciplinary team in AR/IA/3D mobile app development
2. Agile Scrum management, Azure DevOps, and sprint delivery
3. Quality coordination and risk mitigation
**Position Summary**
We seek an Agile Scrum Project Manager with solid experience to lead the delivery of an iPhone-native mobile application integrating Augmented Reality, 3D modeling, and Artificial Intelligence applied to interior design.
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing a multidisciplinary development team, administering the backlog in Azure DevOps, facilitating all Scrum ceremonies, tracking progress per sprint and per person, and delivering clear and timely reports to the Product Manager.
This is an execution-oriented, delivery-disciplined role. We seek someone who ensures the team meets sprint commitments, detects schedule and effort deviations early, and escalates them with data—not assumptions.
**About the Project**
The product is a native iPhone application enabling users to design and validate furniture layout within real spaces. The product’s general workflow includes:
* Account registration, login, and creation of design projects. **User preference form: space type, furniture type, colors, materials, and budget.** Recommendation engine matching user preferences with available furniture catalog via vector similarity search. **Space scanning using iPhone, generating a 3D model of the environment and a 2D floor plan with wall and surface measurements in centimeters.** Interactive placement of 3D furniture objects into the scanned space via Augmented Reality. **Automatic verification of design rule compliance against the proposed layout.** Generation, saving, and sharing of the final approved furniture layout plan.
The platform deploys on AWS and integrates AI services and language models in containers.
**Key Responsibilities**
Agile Management and Ceremonies
* Facilitate and lead all Scrum ceremonies: daily stand-up, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint review, and retrospective. **Prepare and coordinate end-of-sprint demos, ensuring each deliverable is demonstrable and ready prior to the session.** Facilitate retrospectives, document agreements, and track improvement actions to closure. **Maintain sprint cadence aligned with the calendar defined by the Product Manager.**
Backlog Management in Azure DevOps
* Manage and maintain the project backlog in Azure DevOps: epics, features, user stories, tasks, and bugs. **Ensure each item has a clear description, acceptance criteria, hour estimation, and assigned owner.** Configure and maintain boards, sprints, iterations, queries, and tracking dashboards. **Ensure backlog hygiene: updated statuses, recorded dependencies, and traceability for each deliverable.**
Tracking, Control, and Reporting
* Track hour-based burndown per person and per sprint, comparing actual progress against estimated task duration. **Identify and report to the Product Manager when an individual falls behind the task’s estimated pace, providing concrete evidence and data.** Produce periodic status reports, team velocity, risks, blockers, and dependencies. **Escalate impediments promptly when the team cannot resolve them independently.**
Communication and Documentation
* Report directly to the Product Manager and maintain consistent, clear, and structured communication. **Document decisions, agreements, meeting minutes, sprint plans, and scope changes.** Coordinate communication among developers, the 3D artist, the data & AI team, and the QA team. **Keep project process documentation and delivery artifacts up to date.**
Quality and Delivery Coordination
* Coordinate with the QA team on iPhone device testing cycles, including Augmented Reality testing in real environments. **Ensure Definition of Done compliance before closing any user story.** Coordinate release windows and deployment cycles with the technical team. **Manage project risk register and mitigation plan.**
**Mandatory Requirements**
* Minimum 5 years of verifiable experience as a Project Manager in technology projects. **Proven, hands-on experience with Agile Scrum methodology, leading software development teams.** Experience managing software application development projects with front-end and back-end developers on the same team. **Verifiable experience managing an Agile backlog in Azure DevOps. This is mandatory and will be assessed during the technical interview.** Experience in status reporting, progress tracking, and executive communication with Product Managers or stakeholders. **Experience in project documentation: meeting minutes, sprint plans, acceptance criteria, and decision logs.** Ability to estimate, track, and control hours per task and per person. **Availability of 20 hours per week, aligned with the Product Manager’s schedule.**
**Equipment Requirement (Mandatory)**
Candidates must own an iPhone Pro or Pro Max model, ranging from iPhone 12 Pro or iPhone 12 Pro Max through the current version. Standard, Plus, or Mini models do not meet this requirement. The device is used to directly validate space scanning and furniture placement in Augmented Reality—a functionality dependent on sensors available exclusively in Pro and Pro Max lines.
**Desirable Knowledge**
* Experience managing SaaS development projects. **Experience managing projects deployed on AWS.** Current or prior Scrum certification: PSM, CSM, SAFe, or equivalent. **Experience working with teams in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or Computer Vision.** Prior experience with native iOS mobile projects. **Familiarity with DevOps practices: pipelines, environments, versioning, and release cycles.** Conversational or technical English for interaction with the Product Manager and technical documentation.
**Personal Competencies**
* Tracking discipline: no tasks left without status, owner, or due date. **Direct and respectful communication, capable of timely reporting of bad news backed by data.** Autonomy: operates with minimal supervision and proposes solutions—not just problems. **Attention to detail in documentation and acceptance criteria.** Ability to coordinate highly diverse profiles: mobile development, 3D art, data, and infrastructure.
**Engagement Type**
**Independent contractor service agreement**
**Selection Process**
* Submission of resume and brief cover letter. **Initial screening interview covering profile and availability.** Technical management interview: Azure DevOps usage, Scrum ceremonies, burndown control, and handling a schedule deviation scenario. **Reference checks from previous projects.** Offer presentation and signing of independent service agreement.
**When applying, please explicitly state:**
* Years of experience as a Project Manager in technology. **Projects where you managed the Azure DevOps backlog and the size of the team managed.** Exact current iPhone model owned. **Weekly availability and preferred working time window.** Monthly fee expectation within the published range.
