This position blends hands\-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, giving you the chance to influence data architecture while steering delivery on complex initiatives. You will partner closely with stakeholders and engineering teams to ensure solutions are consistently robust and scalable. If you thrive on combining deep technical involvement with accountability for delivery results, this role could be an excellent match. **Responsibilities** * Architect and sustain the code base supporting ETL and ELT pipelines, as well as large batch, micro\-batch, and streaming systems * Construct the infrastructure needed to extract, transform, and load data effectively from a variety of sources using ADF, Spark, Kafka, or comparable technologies * Spot, design, and roll out internal process enhancements, such as automating manual work, streamlining data delivery, and reworking infrastructure for better scalability * Create and implement data services solutions leveraging technologies such as Spring Boot, ReactJS, NoSQL, and associated UI and API tools * Uphold governance across delivery management and production processes in line with the chosen delivery model * Serve as the primary point of contact for delivery matters with senior leadership and stakeholders, covering escalations, upsells, and ramp\-downs * Offer technical leadership throughout delivery, making certain the architecture is sound and future\-ready while implementation meets required quality benchmarks * Draft user stories along with corresponding acceptance criteria within an agile/scrum workflow * Coordinate across various disciplines and stakeholders to keep delivery efforts aligned * Ensure project delivery follows customer processes and methodologies, drawing on strong knowledge of different delivery models with an emphasis on agile approaches * Build a continuous delivery risk management strategy that enables proactive decision\-making throughout the delivery lifecycle * Track and enhance delivery productivity over time * Act as a consultant to Data Engineers, helping ensure quality and timely completion of their work * Carry out production support and deployment tasks **Requirements** * A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience * Solid core Python skills applied to data engineering work * Proficiency in SQL for manipulating and querying data * Experience with Apache Spark for processing data at scale * Familiarity with Anthropic Claude Code * Experience with Databricks for data engineering and analytics workflows * Excellent English proficiency (B2 level or higher) **Nice to have** * Experience with Apache Kafka for event streaming * Familiarity with Java * Experience with PySpark * Familiarity with Scala * Experience with Spark Streaming **We offer** * International projects with top brands * Work with global teams of highly skilled, diverse peers * Healthcare benefits * Employee financial programs * Paid time off and sick leave * Upskilling, reskilling and certification courses * Unlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning library and 22,000\+ courses * Global career opportunities * Volunteer and community involvement opportunities * EPAM Employee Groups * Award\-winning culture recognized by Glassdoor, Newsweek and LinkedIn *EPAM is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
