This role brings together hands\-on technical contributions and leadership accountability, giving you the opportunity to shape data architecture while guiding delivery across challenging projects. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders and engineering teams to keep solutions dependable and scalable as they evolve. If you appreciate a mix of deep technical engagement and ownership of delivery results, this position may be right for you. **Responsibilities** * Develop and maintain the codebase supporting ETL and ELT pipelines, as well as large batch, micro\-batch, and streaming systems * Put in place the infrastructure needed to extract, convert, and load data efficiently from various sources using ADF, Spark, Kafka, or comparable tools * Identify, map out, and carry out internal process improvements, including automating routine work, enhancing data delivery, and adjusting infrastructure for improved scalability * Build and launch data services solutions using technologies such as Spring Boot, ReactJS, NoSQL, and associated UI and API tools * Maintain oversight of governance across delivery management and production processes, aligned with the chosen delivery model * Act as the primary contact point for delivery matters with senior leadership and stakeholders, including escalations, upsells, and ramp\-downs * Steer technical direction across the delivery cycle, keeping the architecture robust and forward\-looking while ensuring implementation meets required quality * Write user stories along with their associated acceptance criteria as part of an agile/scrum process * Unite efforts across multiple disciplines and stakeholders to maintain delivery momentum * Make sure project delivery aligns with customer processes and methodologies, drawing on solid knowledge of different delivery models and an agile\-focused mindset * Design a continuous delivery risk management approach that enables proactive decision\-making throughout the delivery lifecycle * Keep track of and improve delivery productivity over time * Provide guidance to Data Engineers as a technical resource, helping ensure their output is both high\-quality and timely * Take charge of production support and deployment activities **Requirements** * A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position * Strong grasp of core Python for data engineering tasks * Competent in SQL for data querying and manipulation * Hands\-on experience with Apache Spark for large\-scale data processing * Familiarity with Anthropic Claude Code * Experience applying Databricks to data engineering and analytics work * Excellent English proficiency (B2 level or higher) **Nice to have** * Experience with Apache Kafka for handling streaming data * Working familiarity with Java * Hands\-on experience with PySpark * Some exposure to Scala * Experience with Spark Streaming **We offer** * International projects with top brands * Work with global teams of highly skilled, diverse peers * Healthcare benefits * Employee financial programs * Paid time off and sick leave * Upskilling, reskilling and certification courses * Unlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning library and 22,000\+ courses * Global career opportunities * Volunteer and community involvement opportunities * EPAM Employee Groups * Award\-winning culture recognized by Glassdoor, Newsweek and LinkedIn *EPAM is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
