WELDING OPERATIONAL ASSISTANT

Description

Job Summary: Assist with tasks related to preparation, handling, and maintenance of welding equipment and materials, including cutting, grinding, and clamping of parts. Key Responsibilities: 1. Collaboration in the preparation and setup of welding equipment. 2. Active participation in cutting, grinding, and alignment of metal parts. 3. Support in operational maintenance and cleaning of materials. **Equipment Setup:** Organize and verify the proper condition of welding machines, helmets, clamps, and gas cylinders. **Material Preparation:** Clean, cut, measure, grind, and align metal parts prior to joining. **Load Handling:** Transport tools, consumables (electrodes, grinding discs), and heavy materials to the worksite. **Part Clamping:** Hold and secure materials while the welder performs initial tack welds or beads. **Cutting and Beveling:** Assist in performing preliminary cuts using oxy-fuel cutting equipment or hand tools. **Operational Maintenance:** Remove slag, rust, and excess weld material using grinders or wire brushes.
