Responsible for executing and supporting database migration and synchronization processes from on\-premise environments to cloud (AWS/Azure), ensuring data integrity, consistency, and minimal service disruption. Works closely with architects and consultants to implement migration strategies (rehost, replatform) and continuous replication mechanisms. Activities: Execute database migrations to cloud environments (AWS / Azure) Configure and manage data synchronization and replication processes Validate data integrity and consistency during and after migrations Implement cutover strategies with minimal downtime Monitor performance and behavior during migration processes Perform basic post\-migration tuning (queries, indexes, parameters) Manage backups, restores, and recovery plans Support troubleshooting for replication or migration processes Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and architecture teams Document procedures, validations, and migration outcomes **Skills:** **AWS:** AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) AWS Schema Conversion Tool (SCT) Amazon RDS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle) Amazon Aurora Replication configuration (CDC \- Change Data Capture) Homogeneous and heterogeneous migrations Backups and snapshots in RDS Monitoring with CloudWatch for databases **Azure:** Azure Database Migration Service (DMS) Azure Database for PostgreSQL / MySQL Azure SQL Database / SQL Managed Instance Data Sync / Replication in Azure Azure Backup for databases Monitoring with Azure Monitor **Databases:** Administration of MySQL / PostgreSQL / SQL Server / Oracle Migrations (logical, physical, dump/restore) Replication (snapshot, transactional, CDC) Basic optimization (indexes, queries) User and permission management Backup \& Recovery **Migration / Synchronization:** Migration strategies (rehost, replatform) Migration and replication tools Data consistency validation Cutover planning and execution Downtime minimization Troubleshooting in data pipelines **Plus:** Scripting (SQL, Bash, PowerShell, Python) Basic ETL (concepts) Database monitoring tools Basic networking knowledge (latency, throughput) Experience in hybrid environments (on\-prem cloud)
