We are seeking a **Lead Data Engineer** to own end\-to\-end data modeling and pipeline delivery as part of a multi\-phase enterprise data lake re\-architecture. You will partner closely with US\-based stakeholders and a distributed engineering team to turn business needs into reliable, well\-modeled data products—apply to help drive the next phase to completion.
**Responsibilities**
* Lead dimensional data modeling using star schemas, fact/dimension design, and aggregate\-aware structures
* Own end\-to\-end delivery of data pipelines from requirements through deployment
* Gather business requirements directly from stakeholders and translate them into data products
* Design and build ELT workflows in Databricks and dbt aligned to warehouse best practices
* Define and execute unit tests and support UAT to ensure data quality and usability
* Document models, pipelines, and decisions clearly to enable shared understanding
* Coordinate with a distributed engineering team to plan work, unblock delivery, and align outputs
* Partner with stakeholders to validate assumptions, manage expectations, and communicate progress
* Troubleshoot data issues and optimize transformations for reliability and maintainability
**Requirements**
* 5\+ years of data engineering experience across modern and traditional stacks
* 5\+ years of data warehousing experience with strong ETL/ELT foundations
* 5\+ years of dimensional data modeling experience using Kimball and star schema patterns
* Strong leadership skills with high autonomy and ownership in light\-touch environments
* Strong stakeholder management skills with frequent interaction with non\-technical US partners
* Strong project delivery skills across requirements, build, test, UAT, and deployment
* Advanced SQL skills for analytics\-grade transformations and validation
* Hands\-on Databricks skills for building and operating data pipelines
* Hands\-on dbt skills for modular transformations, testing, and documentation
* Strong communication skills with clear written and verbal updates and documentation habits
* Strong requirements gathering skills with ability to anticipate future business needs
* English proficiency: B2 Upper\-Intermediate
**Nice to have**
* Apache Spark experience for large\-scale data processing
* Experience with Tableau or Power BI for basic dashboarding and validation
* HR domain exposure and ability to ramp up quickly on domain concepts
* Background with legacy BI/ETL tools such as Informatica, Cognos, or Business Objects
* Experience with traditional RDBMS platforms such as Oracle
