Responsible for leading the integration of workloads with SDDC (Software-Defined Data Center) environments and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), providing specialized technical support during rehost (lift & shift) migration processes. Serve as the subject matter expert for operating systems, virtualization, and middleware implementation, ensuring consistency, stability, and compliance with standards across hybrid environments. **Activities:** Execute and implement workload migrations under the rehost strategy (on-prem to cloud) Integrate on-premise platforms with SDDC and cloud environments (Azure/AWS) Install, configure, and optimize operating systems in cloud and virtualized environments Implement and configure middleware (web servers, application servers, runtimes) in cloud Support troubleshooting at the OS, virtualization, and middleware layers Validate technical application compatibility during migration processes Automate deployments and configurations using scripts or Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools Ensure compliance with security standards, hardening policies, and system baselines Collaborate with networking, security, and application teams for end-to-end integrations Document configurations, procedures, and lessons learned throughout migrations **Skills:** **AWS:** Amazon EC2 (Linux / Windows) AWS Application Migration Service (MGN) AWS Systems Manager (SSM) Amazon EBS / AMIs Auto Scaling + Elastic Load Balancing Monitoring with CloudWatch Linux and Windows system administration on AWS Automation with AWS CLI / Bash / PowerShell Integration with IAM (roles and policies) **Azure:** Azure Virtual Machines (Linux / Windows) Azure Migrate + Azure Site Recovery (ASR) Azure Managed Disks / Images Azure Monitor / Log Analytics Azure Automation (Runbooks) Linux and Windows system administration on Azure Automation with Azure CLI / PowerShell Integration with Microsoft Entra ID **Virtualization / SDDC:** VMware vSphere / vCenter VM migration (rehost / lift & shift) Template / base image management **Operating Systems:** Linux administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) Windows Server administration Hardening and patch management Basic troubleshooting and performance tuning Fundamental networking (DNS, IP, connectivity) **Middleware:** Apache / Nginx / IIS Tomcat / JBoss / WebLogic Application deployment (WAR / EAR) Basic configuration and troubleshooting **Plus (optional):** Scripting (Bash / PowerShell / Python) Terraform / Bicep (basic knowledge) Docker (concepts)
