Position Summary: We are seeking a Telecommunications Technician to perform installations, maintenance, and technical support for telecommunications networks in rural areas. Key Highlights: 1. Fieldwork involving on-site diagnosis and resolution of faults Telecommunications Technician We are looking for a Telecommunications Technician to perform installations, maintenance, and technical support for telecommunications networks, ensuring operational continuity and service quality in the rural areas of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. Requirements: Technical or technological degree in telecommunications, systems, or related fields. Minimum 1 year of experience in installation and maintenance of networks. Knowledge of satellite links, fiber optics, structured cabling, and configuration of telecommunications equipment. Basic knowledge of electricity. Valid A2 driver’s license. Current “Work at Heights” training course at the authorized worker level (coordinator level preferred). Main Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications networks (satellite and photovoltaic). Diagnose and resolve faults on-site. Configure equipment and ensure proper operation of installed systems. Comply with electrical safety, occupational health and safety (OHS), and road safety regulations. Record photographic and documentary evidence of performed work. Ensure proper use of assigned materials, tools, and vehicles. What We Offer: Salary: $1,900,000 + transportation allowance + statutory benefits. Contract Type: Project-based or task-based. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Saturdays, 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Per Diems according to travel requirements for Rural Areas.
