Position Summary Pond is seeking a Structural Engineer with Data Center experience to join our growing team in Bogotá, Colombia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural design and analysis for mission\-critical facilities, including hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data centers. This individual will support multidisciplinary project teams in the design and delivery of high\-performance facilities requiring exceptional reliability, resiliency, and constructability. The successful candidate will contribute to all phases of project development, from conceptual planning and detailed design through construction administration and project closeout. Key Responsibilities * Design and analyze structural systems for data centers and other mission\-critical facilities. * Develop structural calculations, reports, specifications, and construction documents. * Design steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and foundation systems for new construction and renovation projects. * Coordinate structural designs with architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and telecommunications disciplines. * Support development of structural solutions for equipment foundations, rooftop equipment, generator yards, and critical infrastructure. * Perform structural assessments, field investigations, and condition evaluations. * Participate in design reviews and quality control processes to ensure compliance with Pond standards and client requirements. * Assist with construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittal reviews, and site observations. * Support project managers in maintaining schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables. * Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders throughout project execution. * Stay current with industry trends, codes, standards, and emerging technologies related to mission\-critical facilities. Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering. * 5\+ years of structural engineering experience, including direct involvement in data center or mission\-critical facility projects. * Experience designing structural systems using steel, reinforced concrete, and foundation engineering principles. * Proficiency with structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD, RAM, RISA, or similar tools. * Working knowledge of international building codes and structural design standards. * Experience preparing construction documents and engineering calculations. * Strong communication and coordination skills within multidisciplinary engineering teams. * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast\-paced project environment. * Professional\-level proficiency in English and Spanish preferred. Preferred Qualifications * Professional Engineer (PE) license, Colombian professional registration, or ability to obtain licensure. * Experience supporting hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, or mission\-critical campus developments. * Familiarity with seismic design, equipment anchorage, and vibration analysis. * Experience with BIM/Revit workflows and multidisciplinary project coordination. * Knowledge of U.S. and international codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC, and related standards. * Experience working with global clients and international project teams.
