




The Machinist is responsible for operating, adjusting, and maintaining machine tools such as lathes and milling machines, conventional and/or CNC, for the manufacturing, repair, and modification of metal parts according to drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards. This role requires high precision, blueprint reading, dimensional control, and compliance with industrial safety regulations. Academic Background * Technician or Technologist in Industrial Mechanics, Machining, Industrial Production, or related fields. * Additional courses in machining, metrology, blueprint interpretation, and industrial safety. Experience * Minimum 2 to 3 years in machining, turning, and milling within the metal-mechanical industry. * Proficiency with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators). * Experience in interpreting blueprints and geometric tolerances. Technical Skills * Operation of conventional lathes and milling machines (and CNC if applicable). * Reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints. * Knowledge in selecting cutting tools, speeds, and feeds. * Use of measurement instruments and quality control procedures. * Setup, assembly, and centering of workpieces. * Basic grinding (optional depending on company). * Good manufacturing practices and industrial safety.
