Perform preventive maintenance and pre-operational inspections We are hiring a Tractor Operator Assistant for a forestry project / timber harvesting operation. At **La Sultana Muebles \& Madera**, we seek a committed, responsible, and experienced Tractor Operator Assistant in forestry operations to support timber harvesting, extraction, and internal transportation activities, ensuring safe machinery operation and compliance with safety, productivity, and environmental protection standards. Job Profile Safely and efficiently operate forestry tractors to support extraction, skidding, mobilization, and organization of timber, ensuring proper equipment functionality and adherence to company-established procedures. Requirements * High school diploma (preferred but not mandatory). * Certification or training in agricultural or forestry machinery operation (preferred but not mandatory). * Valid driver's license. * Minimum 1 year of experience as a tractor operator, preferably in forestry, agricultural, or material handling operations. * Knowledge of preventive maintenance and pre-operational inspections of machinery. * Familiarity with Occupational Safety and Health regulations. Main Responsibilities * Safely and efficiently operate the assigned tractor during forestry harvesting activities. * Perform skidding, mobilization, and organization of timber logs according to the operational schedule. * Conduct daily pre-operational inspections of equipment and report any anomalies. * Verify proper tractor functionality before, during, and after each work shift. * Support opening and maintenance of internal access roads when required. * Ensure appropriate use, cleaning, and basic maintenance of assigned machinery. * Comply with operational, environmental, and Occupational Safety and Health procedures. * Report incidents related to operations, machinery, or site conditions.
