If you have the qualities and drive to lead yourself or teams, there are roles ready to cultivate your skills and take you to the next level. **Job Description:** **Position Purpose** Safely and efficiently operate material handling equipment (forklifts) to perform receiving, storage, replenishment, and shipment activities for goods within the distribution center, ensuring product integrity, personnel safety, and compliance with UPS and customer operational and quality standards. **Primary Responsibilities** * Operate forklifts and material handling equipment in accordance with UPS **safety and safe operations policies**. * Execute **loading and unloading of goods** onto transportation vehicles, ensuring proper handling of products. * Perform **placement and relocation of goods** into designated storage locations as instructed by the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or supervisor. * Support **replenishment of picking locations** to ensure continuity of operations. * Inspect physical condition of goods and report any anomalies or inconsistencies detected during handling. * Conduct **pre-operational inspections of forklifts** prior to starting the work shift. * Immediately report any incidents, damage to goods, or equipment abnormalities. * Comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality policies, and industrial safety standards. * Maintain order, cleanliness, and organization in storage and operational areas. * Support other operational activities at the distribution center as required by operations. **Position Requirements** **Academic Qualification** High school diploma. **Technical Training** Valid **forklift operator certification** issued by an authorized entity. **Experience** Minimum **1 year of experience** operating forklifts in distribution centers, logistics operations, or industrial plants. **Knowledge and Skills** * Safe operation of electric or internal combustion forklifts. * Handling of goods in racking systems and storage locations. * Basic knowledge of logistics processes: **receiving, storage, picking, and shipment**. * Good industrial safety practices. * Basic knowledge of inventory or radiofrequency (RF) systems is desirable. **Competencies** * Safety orientation * Teamwork * Operational discipline * Accountability * Attention to detail * Results orientation **Position Conditions** * Work in a warehouse or distribution center environment. * Continuous operation of material handling equipment. **Employee Type:** Permanent UPS is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
