Job Summary: The IT Director acts as a strategic partner, serving as the primary liaison between technology and business, ensuring solutions aligned with organizational objectives and managing technological operations and regulatory compliance. Drives technological innovation and efficiency. The Country IT Director serves as a strategic business partner, acting as the primary liaison between technology areas and business and support units. Ensures delivery of technology solutions aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives. Additionally, is responsible for managing and ensuring SLA compliance, as well as overseeing technological operations—anticipating risks and managing business continuity. This role also ensures IT regulatory compliance and risk management in coordination with regional support teams. Regarding infrastructure, the primary responsibility is to ensure regional infrastructure initiatives are aligned with local business priorities. The IT Director focuses on monitoring adherence to expected service levels, project delivery, and facilitating communication among involved areas. Responsibilities * Align business strategy with IT strategy at local, regional, and global levels. * Act as liaison between business, cluster IT Manager, and regional/global teams. * Coordinate and track projects, requirements, risks, incidents, and escalations. * Participate in prioritization and management of the technology project portfolio. * Support development of business cases and obtaining approvals and funding. * Develop and execute technology strategic planning. * Manage vendors, contracts, and renewals of technology services. * Ensure availability of internal country technology services. * Track SLA compliance for regional application incidents. * Define and monitor department budget. * Evaluate, select, and integrate new technologies aligned with strategy. * Coordinate with Technical Leader, Developer, Project Manager, and regional support teams. * Ensure operational continuity of local applications. * Guarantee compliance with security, cybersecurity, and compliance guidelines. * Ensure local applications meet technical security and architectural requirements. * Keep technology department processes and procedures up to date. * Identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency, cost reduction, and innovation. * Proactively detect technological issues and propose effective solutions. * Promote creation and development of high-performance teams. * Define clear objectives, provide coaching, and support team development plans. * Foster empowerment, proactivity, and decision-making. * Systems and Computer Engineering degree. * Master’s degree in Management or Information Technologies preferred. * English language proficiency at B2 level or higher. Specific Knowledge in: * Management of multiple IT projects * Understanding of software architecture, Digital Solutions (APIs / * Integrations via Web Services / Microsite Development), knowledge of best practices in project management and systems development lifecycle. * Experience in Strategic Planning and Alignment of Information Technologies with business objectives. * Experience leading infrastructure, application development, and project teams. * Effective negotiation * Leadership and effective communication * Vendor management * Industry knowledge and practices within the Insurance Sector Experience * Minimum 7 years of total experience in positions requiring analysis, negotiation, and/or decision-making. * 5 years leading technology teams. * 5 years of experience in the financial or general insurance sector. * 5 years of experience managing technology projects.
