Job Summary: We are seeking an engineer or technician to manage the complete technical lifecycle of solar projects, from system sizing through certification and after-sales support. Management of regulations and grid connection procedures We are growing and looking for the engineer or technician who ensures every project is correctly sized on paper and properly executed on the roof. You will be responsible for the full technical lifecycle of a solar project: from energy consumption analysis and system sizing, to installation supervision, commissioning, and RETIE certification. Main Responsibilities Sizing and Design * Analyze electricity bills, load curves, and customer consumption profiles to determine the optimal system size. * Conduct solar resource assessment (peak sun hours, irradiance, shading analysis) and estimate annual generation using simulation software. * Design the electrical configuration: string calculations, MPPT window, DC/AC ratio, selection of modules and inverters, conductor gauges, voltage drop, DC/AC protections, surge protection devices (SPD), grounding, and shielding. * Prepare electrical and mechanical drawings (single-line diagrams, connection diagrams, module layouts, anchoring details) and calculation reports. * Verify structural feasibility of the roof in coordination with civil/structural engineers: wind and dead loads, anchoring type, roof tile condition. * Prepare the project financial model: CAPEX, projected savings, payback period, internal rate of return (IRR), and tax benefits under Law 1715/2099\. Execution and Installation * Site surveys and pre-quotation technical visits. * Supervise and/or execute mechanical mounting, DC/AC wiring, inverter, switchboard, and monitoring system installation. * Coordinate installation technician crews, construction schedules, and field quality control. * Perform commissioning and startup tests: continuity, insulation resistance, I\-V curve, polarity, thermography, grounding verification. * Prepare the handover dossier: as\-built drawings, test protocols, technical datasheets, manuals, and maintenance plan. Regulations and Procedures * Ensure compliance with **RETIE** and **NTC 2050**, and support inspection and certification processes with the ONAC-accredited body. * Manage grid connection procedures with the distribution operator (Enel, EPM, Air\-e, Afinia, CENS, etc.) under the AGPE / Distributed Generation scheme. * Prepare documentation for project registration with the **UPME** and for applying tax incentives. After-sales Support * Design and implement operation and maintenance (O\&M) plans—preventive and corrective. * Diagnose generation faults via the monitoring system and handle warranty claims. Requirements: **Valid professional license (COPNIA)** — mandatory for signing designs and RETIE compliance declarations. **Experience** * Minimum **\[2–3] years** of verifiable experience in grid-connected photovoltaic systems, with direct involvement in both design and construction. **Safety Certifications** * Valid **Working at Heights Safety Certification**. * Electrical risk training / arc flash prevention course. * Willingness to work on rooftops and travel to projects outside the city.
