**Job Title: Techno\-Functional SME – Model N Flex (Commercial Module)** **Location:** California, USA **Work Hours:** 9 AM – 6 PM PST (Must support PST time zone) **About the Role** We are seeking an experienced Techno\-Functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) specializing in Model N Flex – Commercial Module to support our ongoing implementation, enhancement, and operational excellence efforts within the life sciences revenue management environment. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise across Model N Flex configuration, commercial lifecycle functional workflows, and PL/SQL technical troubleshooting, along with strong ownership in engaging business stakeholders and leading solution delivery onsite. This is a hands\-on SME role requiring a blend of functional leadership and technical capability. **Key Responsibilities** **Functional \& SME Leadership** * Lead business and functional workshops with commercial operations, pricing, contracting, and revenue teams. * Translate business requirements into functional specifications and configuration changes. * Serve as the primary onsite expert and trusted advisor for Model N Flex Commercial capabilities. * Support end\-to\-end Contracting, Pricing, Chargebacks, and Rebate Management workflows. **Model N Flex Configuration \& Solution Delivery** * Configure Flex components including: * + Offers, Workflow Rules, BOMs, Flex Fields, Contract Structures, Eligibility Rules * Perform change impact analysis, data mapping, validation, and configuration design review. * Work with offshore and cross\-functional teams to ensure solution consistency and alignment. **Technical Execution** * Develop and optimize PL/SQL scripts for configuration support, reconciliation, reporting, and performance tuning. * Troubleshoot configuration issues across test and production environments. * Support regression testing, UAT cycles, and deployment activities. **Collaboration \& Governance** * Coordinate with business, PMO, validation, testing, and support teams. * Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX, audit documentation, and life sciences regulatory expectations. * Support operational and hypercare cycles for go\-live and post\-release enhancements. **Required Skills \& Qualifications (Must Have)** **Model N Expertise** 5–7\+ years hands\-on experience with Model N Flex Commercial module **Commercial Domain** Strong understanding of pricing, contracting, rebates, and chargebacks **Technical Skills** Proficiency in PL/SQL, data debugging, validations, and performance tuning **Functional Understanding** Knowledge of commercial lifecycle, revenue optimization, pricing models, compliance workflows **Flex Configuration** Experience with Offer configuration, workflow mapping, rule configuration, and integrations **Operational Ownership** Ability to function as onsite SME interacting with business and offshore teams **Experience Range** 10–12 years total IT experience with 40:60 (Tech:Functional) split preferred **Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)** **Industry Expertise**: Medicaid, Government Pricing, Regulatory frameworks Upgrade Experience :Experience supporting Model N upgrades, platform modernization, regression preparation **Integration Background** :Exposure to SAP, Salesforce, Validata, or adjacent enterprise systems **Reporting \& Analytics** :Experience with Tableau, Power BI, BO, or Model N automation/reporting **Management Skills** :Experience leading small teams or project delivery streams **Soft Skills \& Attributes** * Strong analytical mindset and structured problem solver * Excellent communication and customer\-facing capabilities * Ability to operate independently in a fast\-paced, regulated environment * Detail\-oriented with strong documentation discipline **Work Authorization** * Candidate must be authorized to work onsite in the United States. * No relocation support is provided; local or self\-relocating candidates preferred.
