Job Description
A prominent healthcare institution requires a Pharmacy Assistant who will be responsible for executing processes related to the receipt, storage, dispensing, and control of medications, ensuring compliance with current regulations, good pharmaceutical service practices, and humane, high-quality service to users.
Main Responsibilities
Apply established procedures of the Pharmaceutical Service and current regulations.
Perform technical receipt of medications and verify orders, quantities, and references.
Store and organize pharmaceutical products in accordance with Good Storage Practices.
Support inventory control, including selective and general inventories.
Dispense hospital, emergency, and inpatient medications, verifying medical prescriptions.
Provide informed medication delivery to users and healthcare staff.
Handle and record controlled and state-monopoly medications according to applicable regulations.
Report expirations, anomalies, shortages, and supply needs.
Maintain the work area in optimal conditions of order, cleanliness, and asepsis.
Fulfill assigned shifts and support internal and external audits.
Provide humane, respectful, and empathetic service to users.
Ensure confidentiality of information and safeguard service quality.
Requirements
Education: Technical degree in Pharmaceutical Services Assistant.
Experience: Minimum 2 years in pharmaceutical services (**hospital setting preferred**).
Knowledge of medication dispensing, storage, inventory control, and pharmaceutical regulations.
